Utility Control BV and its subsidiaries (hereinafter collectively referred to as: Utility Control/we) offer a wide range of services. Due to the nature of these services, we have access to certain personal data about you. We consider the protection of personal data to be essential to our service provision. Therefore, in this privacy policy we provide information about how we process the personal data of our customers and website visitors. This policy applies to all personal data collected by Utility Control during your interactions with Utility Control: such as when you visit our website, use services offered by Utility Control, purchase Utility Control products and services, subscribe to newsletters, contact customer service, and so on.

Unless authorized by a parent or guardian, we do not intend to collect data from individuals under the age of 16. However, we cannot always verify someone’s age. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children’s (online) activities to prevent data from being collected without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data from a minor without proper consent, please contact us and we will delete the information.
We do not retain your data longer than legally permitted and only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the data and the processing purpose. Utility Control companies regularly collaborate to better serve you. To support you as effectively as possible, we may combine personal data we hold about you as a customer.

Requests may be submitted using the contact details provided below. To prevent abuse, we may ask you to verify your identity. We will respond as soon as possible, and no later than four weeks from receipt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
If you do not wish to receive commercial messages from us, you can indicate this by ticking the relevant box on forms or using the unsubscribe link in our emails. We will then block your data for such use.
Use of Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone during your first visit. We use essential cookies for technical functionality and user convenience, and analytical cookies to optimize the website. Where possible, and with your permission, we use cookie data to offer personalized content and information.

Google – Detects intent to exit via cursor movement and triggers pop-ups to retain visitors or convert them to customers.
Hotjar – Tracks clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements. Also collects browser type, device type, and referral source. No data is shared with third parties.
HubSpot – Tracks visitor preferences, IP address, browser type, location, visit duration, and viewed pages. Also stores form data.
Olark – Enables live chat support and stores session details (e.g., viewed pages, repeat visits). Chat logs are anonymized after 90 days.
LinkedIn – Stores user consent status and optimizes user experience via server clusters. Tracks use of embedded services and ensures secure browsing.
Vimeo – Logs page views and distinguishes bots from human users.
YouTube – Verifies cookie consent for marketing use and stores user preferences for embedded video playback.
Cookiebot – Stores cookie consent status for utilitycontrol.nl.
NR-data – Maintains online/offline/inactive status across pages.
DoubleClick – Checks browser cookie support, tracks post-ad interaction, and limits ad frequency.

Third-party Websites
